Hi everyone, my name is Andy from Versatile Strength, Performance, Function.
I'll just tell you a little bit about myself. My training started when I was 16, at the time I was very heavy, weighing in at close to 19 stone. For me, I found the hardest part of starting to lose weight was what to do. To be completely honest it took me 2 years to lose the first two stone. Looking back, I found that one of the biggest problems I had was finding the right information on how to lose weight, and to find a coach that actually cared.
I'll fast forward a little to when I was 21.I was still a bit overweight, which I just couldn't shift, but overall I was really unhappy about how I felt mentally and physically. To top it off I was in a car crash I had some bad injuries from causing damage to my ACL, knee, hip, lower back, shoulder and neck (thankfully it's all on the same side) After the car crash I had to do extensive rehab for two years during a time in which very unhappy with both my physique and mentality.
After I got through most of my rehab work I started powerlifting and to say the least I fell in love with it. It gave me a chance to prove to myself that I was no longer that kid I used to be. After 5 years competing, I went from very last in my first competition, to 4th in the country. Strength is one of my many passions when it comes to fitness.
What I want to build with versatile SPF is to create a wave for the fitness industry and the world to see. I want to empower you on becoming the best version of you that you can become, because I know what it's like to not be your true authentic self, and to be living the wrong type of life. To me training has given me a new lease of life and an insight to how life can treat you on your good days and bad ones.
With that said, I truly believe that to make it in life you have to be able to adapt to a lot of different things. With my training style I want to provide you with the tools to be the best in the gym, outside in the real world and most importantly in your head.
So I'll stop ranting for now but I'd love to help anyone whether their goal is fat loss, strength, body recomp. We can do it together, remember, I've been in most positions people can be in so don’t worry, I got your back. I would recommend Andy to anyone as he trains every client specifically to their request and suitability. He did extra research around my my chronic illness and continues to show support and provide extra helpful resources. His dedication, enthusiasm and belief in me has made training so fun and has built up my confidence. My clothes are beginning to fit again and my overall strength as improved so much. Couldn’t recommend Andy more.
