To celebrate the launch of The Gym Advisors Blog, Andy is joined by Jeff Heneghan to build on the article he wrote for us that focuses on returning to sport and activity after suffering an injury.
Before listening to this episode, you should take 5 minutes to read that article over on thegymadvisors.ie/blog, it’s one of five already published that have been written either by Andy or some of our other amazing members.
Andy is joined by Jeff Heneghan of Tribesmen Training to tell us about his lifelong obsession with exercise, how it has helped him get through some tough times and the benefits of being humble in the Fitness Industry.
We also discuss the need for a constant growth mindset, and why anyone who claims their way is the only way has strayed away from fitness and into religion.
Cardio vs Weight Training - Which is "better"?
No matter what we do, at some time or another we’ll find ourselves on the sideline with an injury. This is an unfortunate reality of life that i...

5 Star ReviewJeff brings a professional, personal and performance focused approach to all his sessions. I have been working with him in a team environment for nearly 6 months and find that I am continuing to learn something new every day. Jeff recognises his clients’ strengths and areas to work on, and helps to present this in an understandable and beneficial way. He recognises his clients’ own knowledge and aims to build on this in every session. It is clear that each session is planned meticulously, however he is quick to adapt each session based on fatigue, injuries or any other factors. I have personally seen great improvements in my strength while also translating this into more power-focused movements, something I had previously neglected. The fact that Jeff’s training is based on simple and proven principles of strength and performance means that steady progress is made over time. I look forward to continuing to work with Jeff, and when the time comes that we finish working together I am confident in the fact that I will be able to continue training towards the same goals with the knowledge he has instilled.
