Yoga Teacher based in Galway, leading practices in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga and Meditation Sessions. I am passionate about helping each person through their journey into Yoga.
In March 2020, like many others, I moved my classes online. Using Zoom to facilitate classes has been a wonderful new experience. For my clients, being able to practice yoga from the comfort of their own home, with the benefit of a live online teacher, guiding and helping them through the practice has turned out to be hugely popular.
Yoga, an ancient practice and meditation, has become increasingly popular in today's busy society. For many people, yoga provides a retreat from their chaotic and busy lives. Yoga can also be a great compliment to your fitness routine, whether you're a runner, swimming or do Crossfit. From increased flexibility to controlled breathing, Yoga could benefit your physical activity! You will get a lot of insight into your body - and your mind - when you step on the mat.
Hatha yoga focuses on pranayamas (breath-controlled exercises). These are followed by a series of asanas (yoga postures), which end with savasana (a resting period). The goal during yoga practise is to challenge yourself physically, but not to feel overwhelmed. At this "edge," the focus is on your breath while your mind is accepting and calm.
Yin yoga goes deeper to target deep connective tissue in the body including ligaments, bones, and joints. As opposed to a more active flow class, yin yoga involves passive stretching – most of which happens on the floor. Yin yoga encourages you to completely relax in the pose, softening the muscle in order to move closer to the bone. In this way, it offers deeper access to our bodies than we can normally access in a more yang style practice, like a Vinyasa flow class.
Pre-2020, I held class in Galway City and County. Now I hold classes attended by people all over the country and world. From Galway to Cork, London to Germany and the USA, being able to practice online means you can catch a class from anywhere.
If you would like to give yoga a try, for the first time or even get back on the mat after a break, message me for info or link up with me online on Instagram @yogawithsaibh <3

Andy has never tried yoga, it’s just never really been his scene.
But in an attempt to expand his exercise horizons he enlists Saibh Egan to put forth the reasons to try yoga.
Saibh makes a compelling case for the benefits of practicing yoga but can she convince our hesitant host?
Listen to find out…

5 Star ReviewI attended my first ever yoga class with Saibh recently and it was amazing! It was a mixed ability class, with me at the very bottom of that spectrum, and she made it very easy, very comfortable, and she explained everything very clearly. It was a lovely introduction to yoga and I'll certainly be back!
