So my story begins when I was about 16 years old and first getting involved in the gym. Thanks to an overwhelming lack of knowledge and ignorance I ended up seriously injuring my back. As in I lost all power in my legs, fell to the floor and couldn’t move for 4 hours, all at the age of 16.
Since then I’ve gone on to get my degree in athletic therapy and rehabilitation so that I can help other injured people get back to exercising. And soon after graduating I got involved more in personal training.
By combining these two fields I can give my clients a holistic approach to health and fitness.
I work online and in person with clients. My private gym allows clients to train 1-2-1 with a coach in every session so that they have the entire gym to themselves which means you're always guaranteed that equipment is free for a quick and efficient workout. For beginners it also means that it is a relaxed and comfortable space to learn the basics of training with no one else around while you find your feet.

The bulk of the conversation is about how and why Mark decided to open his own facility (MNPT Gym) in the midst of a pandemic, the roadblocks he hit, and how he overcame them, as well as highlighting some red flags to be aware of when seeking out help with an injury, something Mark has extensive experience with.
